Configure navigation

In a Portal 7 report, you can create new navigation entries in the Navigation area. These are then displayed in the left navigation bar in the Portal. If you do not configure any navigation entries under Navigation, the contents of the model overview are displayed in the navigation bar in the Portal by default. As soon as a navigation entry is created under Navigation, it is displayed instead of the model overview entries. You can create the following navigation entries here:

  • App: subsection, with its own navigation bar, app homepage and content.

  • Dashboard: Views in which specific data is reported and displayed.

  • Navigation entry : Entry in the navigation bar in the Portal via which a specific object or view can be opened.

  • Navigation group: Entry in the navigation bar that is used to group other entries in the navigation bar.

  • Subheading: Heading in the navigation bar that serves for better orientation and for grouping further elements in the navigation bar.
